One of the seven cars is a Rolls Royce Phantom registered in the name of Amitabh Bachchan. This car was given by Vinod Chopra to Amitabh Bachchan. Meanwhile, a few days ago, Amitabh had sold the car. It is noteworthy that incomplete documents were found with the driver of the vehicle, Salman Khan.

Amitabh sold the car in 2019

The car was presented to Amitabh Bachchan by his widow Vinod Chopra after the release of Eklavya in 2007. In 2019, Amitabh Bachchan sold a Rolls Royce Phantom to Yusuf Sharif aka D Babu. However, the transfer of ownership is not complete after the sale of the car and it is still in the name of Amitabh Bachchan. So his name also appears on the transport website. Therefore, the Karnataka Transport Department does not have any information about this train.

A few days ago, the Transport Department had seized luxury vehicles running illegally in the city after conducting raids. The owners of many vehicles involved in the action have not paid the tax. At the same time, it was found that the documents of some vehicles were incomplete. The car was not insured or had expired. Of the seized vehicles, five are registered in Puducherry and two in Maharashtra.

Salman Khan was driving the car

A Rolls Royce Phantom with registration number MH 02 BB 2 was confiscated by the Department of Transportation. Then it came to know that the vehicle is registered in the name of superhero Amitabh Bachchan. Interestingly, the name of the driver of the car was Salman Khan. Salman Khan, 35, said that his father had bought the car from Amitabh Bachchan.

Action will be taken if documents are not received

Additional Transport Commissioner L. Narendra Holkar has also confirmed that the car has been named after Amitabh Bachchan. According to the rules, it is mandatory to get the car registered within 11 months after selling it in another state. Can’t drive without registration. This car was purchased from Amitabh on 27 February 2019. The owner of the car said that he had bought the car for Rs 6 crore. He does not have vehicle documents. He recently showed a transfer letter from Bachchan saying that the car has been sold. Holkar has promised to take strict action in future in case of non-submission of documents of this vehicle.
