Maharashtra’s Beard has been recorded as the title of the book he co-authored against popular Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor. A Christian group has filed a complaint against Kareena’s objection to the book’s title ‘Pregnancy Bible’.
As per available information, a Christian organization called Alpha, Omega Christian Convention has accused the title of the book of hurting the sentiments of Christians. The organization’s president Ashish Shinde lodged a complaint at the Shivaji Nagar police station in Beed Nagar and demanded registration of a book against the author.
In his complaint, Shinde said the holy word Bible has been used in the book and it has hurt the religious sentiments of Christians.
The police have confirmed that they have received the complaint and are yet to register an FIR, the police said, adding that the complainant was asked to file a complaint in Mumbai city as Kareena’s book was not published in Beed.
Inspector Sainath Thombre, in-charge of Shivaji Nagar police station said, “We have received the complaint. However, the case has not been registered as the incident did not take place in Beed. We have advised them to lodge a complaint in Mumbai.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible: The Ultimate Manual for Mothers to Be is a book jointly authored by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aditi Shah Bhimjiani. The book narrates Kareena’s experience of being pregnant twice as a celebrity. The book has been reviewed by the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI), an official body of obstetricians, obstetricians and obstetricians in India.
