There is a scene with actress Shobhita Dhulipala in Anurag Kashyap’s short film ‘Ghost Stories’. In this scene, she is shown eating the fetus after the abortion. In February this year, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had made some rules. Which provides guidance for the Digital Media Code of Conduct. Accordingly, all streaming platforms were asked to put in place a mechanism for audience complaints and suggestions to correct errors in the visuals. Within months of the rule, a complaint was filed against Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Ghost Stories’ in Netflix India.

The complainant objected to the scene of actress Shobhita Dhulipa and said that the scene is not needed in the story. Even after this, if the producers do not want to remove that scene from the short film, then they should trigger a warning for women experiencing miscarriage. At present, a complaint has been lodged with the grievance redressal officers of Netflix.
