About 20 people died in a thunderstorm in Rajasthan on Sunday, July 11. According to reports, the disaster took place in Jaipur, Jhalawar and Dholpur districts, where 20 people, including three children, died. Most of the 20 deaths were attributed to tourists arriving in the evening to see the Amber Fort on the outskirts of Jaipur. Reports said that tourists standing near the Amar Fort watch tower were struck by the natural beauty and many died.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced relief for the families of those killed in the rains caused by heavy rains in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a series of tweets that Rs 2 lakh will be given to the families of the dead and Rs 50,000 to the injured families. In such an interesting case of lightning has come to the fore. Meanwhile, what is a thunderbolt? What is the probability of death by knocking? Interesting information is given here.

What is electricity? How does it strike?
Electricity is the fastest and most powerful form of electrical energy in the environment. Some of it hits the Earth directly. This lightning or burst is caused by a large (about 10-12 km long) cloud. Special means that this cloud is only 1-2 km away from the ground level. will be in measurement. However, its surface is about 12 km. The temperature at the tip of the cloud ranges from minus 35 to minus 45 degrees Celsius.

As water passes over the element in the cloud, the temperature at the edge of the cloud decreases. In this process, the heat production is carried back to the water molecules. As the temperature drops to minus three degrees Celsius, the water molecules turn into small ice. As they grow in size, they move upwards and then fall to the ground.

According to this process, the smaller iceberg particles move up and the larger iceberg particles start falling down. This leads to disputes among themselves. Due to which the electrons are released. Thus a spark of electrical energy appears. Thus the chain reaction is caused by more collisions due to the traveling electrons.

This is because the upper layer of the cloud has a positive charge. The middle layer has a negative charge. The difference in the electrical energy of these two layers is large. It can be anywhere from a billion to 10 billion. A large amount of current, about 100,000 to one million amperes, travels between these layers in a short period of time.

This results in massive warming. and heating the air between both layers of the cloud. Due to this the layer turns red on burning. Thus, the layer of warm air expands, creating shock waves. thunder from it.

What is the probability of death by knocking?
Natural disaster deaths are the most common cause of death. This means that India has an average of 2,000 to 2,500 deaths. This happens especially in urban areas. A few years ago, about 300 people were killed by the eruption in a three-day period. This calculation surprised the officials and scientists.

Yet lightning or lightning is said to be the least studied natural phenomenon. Only a group of scientists from the Indian Institute of Tropical Management will study the full range of bursts and lightning.

India experiences thousands of storms every year. More than a hundred of these can be seen. According to Dr. Sunil Pawar of IITM, there is a power failure for the last 20 years. Especially in the foothills of the Himalayas.
