FiveG network no relief for Juhi Chawla; petition for cancellation of fine

Mumbai: Actress Juhi Chawla has been fined Rs 20 lakh by the Delhi High Court in the FiveG Technology case. Juhi had once again filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the sentence. However, the court rejected Juhi’s application and asked to pay the fine.

The matter was heard before Justice Sanjeev Narula. After the hearing, Justice Narula referred the petition to another bench. The second hearing on the petition will be held on July 29.

Last week, Justice JR Midha had instead dismissed Juhi Chawla’s plea. The petitioners have also been ordered to pay a fine of Rs 20 lakh. The court has also given a week’s time to pay the fine. However, Juhi has not yet paid the fine. The court has expressed displeasure over this act of Juhi. The court found that the conduct of the petitioners other than him was wrong.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court on June 4 dismissed Juhi Chawla’s plea challenging certain technicalities of the 5G technology. A fine of Rs 20 lakh has also been imposed on Juhi and her associates. The court had said that the petition contained several errors in imposition of fine, misuse of law and sought publicity from it.
