India vs Sri Lanka T20
Eight Indian players will be left out of the T20I series between India and Sri Lanka. Team India player Karnal Pandya was infected with Coronavirus and all the players were kept in isolation. Tuesday’s match has been postponed till Wednesday. 8 players who had direct contact with Krunal Pandya have been kept in isolation. Thus Prithvi Shah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Krishnappa Gautam, Manish Pandey and Ishan Kishan will be unavailable for the third T20 match.
Thus, before the second and final T20, five reserve players have been added to the Indian team. Ishaan Porel, Sandeep Warrier, Sai Kishore, Arshaddeep Singh and Simarjit Singh are now part of Team India.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah said, “BCCI has issued an official announcement and the reserve players have been recruited on the request of the Team India management.” Similarly, Ishan Porel, Sandeep Warrier, Sai Kishore, Arshaddeep Singh and Simarjit Singh will be part of Team India in the next T20 match.
There are four new players in the second T20 match because the key players of Team India are in Corona isolation. Accordingly, Kannadiga Devadatta Padikkal was inaugurated on behalf of Team India. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Nitish Rana and Chetan Zakaria also made their debuts.
