Bengaluru: The cabinet headed by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is on the verge of collapse. The new ministers will take oath tomorrow (August 4) at 5 pm. Sources said the matter is already listed by the High Command, in which 24 MPs are likely to take oath.
Bommai’s aides have informed TV9 that the BJP high command has directed Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to remain in Delhi till the finalization of the list of ministers.
The list of the new cabinet of Karnataka state has finally been finalised. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and BJP national unit leaders finalized the list after long talks. After the resignation of BS Yediyurappa from the post of Chief Minister, Basavaraj Bommai, MLA from Shigangvi assembly constituency rose to the post of Chief Minister. But the cabinet structure got messed up.
Now the BJP has given green signal to the formation of the high command, which is likely to be administered by the allies soon. The swearing-in ceremony will be held on August 4.
The mix of old and newcomer teenagers is a feature of this segment. Although some old people have lost power, new ones have been empowered. The BJP has paid a lot of attention to caste and regional representation. In addition, names have been finalized for the formation of a new cabinet with an aim to strengthen the party for the 2023 Karnataka Assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
