Siju Wilson is an actor who has attracted the attention of the Malayalee audience since ‘Malarwadi Arts Club’. The actor has changed his role from a minor role to a character who is likely to be the best of his career. Siju plays the strong character of Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker in the historical film ‘Nineteenth Century’ directed by Vinayan. In a recent interview with the Times of India, Siju first revealed how he got the role.

“Screenwriter and director AK Sajan Sir called me in February 2020. We have worked together on the film ‘You and Me’ before. He asked me to call Vinayan Sir for a film. I met Vinayan Sir and talked about this film. He said, “I like my character in the movie I Need a Groom and he felt that my physique and look would be perfect to portray Panikkar,” Siju said.

From spending hours in the gym to learning colorimetry, the actress had done a lot of preparation for this role.

“I did not pre-plan a lot of things. I did a little bit of research on this character, and then Vinayan Sir told me everything I needed to know about the character. As an actor, I concentrated mostly on dialogues. I did not do that, I had to put in a lot of effort on my part, and then I learned kalaripayat and horse riding. I did nothing else.
