Pornography case: Mumbai High Court on Monday ruled on Raj Kundra’s bail!

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra has been arrested for making obscene videos and uploading them on the internet. Raj has been sent to police custody till July 27. However, his lawyers have filed a bail application in the Mumbai High Court calling Raj’s arrest illegal. The matter will be heard in the High Court on Monday.

Raj Kundra was arrested on July 20 in a pornography case. He has been sent to police custody till July 23. He was produced in court after his term ended on Friday. At that time, the court had sent him to police custody till July 27. Following the court order, Raj’s lawyer Subhash Jadhav said that his arrest was illegal.

Subhash said, ‘He has not made any kind of obscene video. The videos they have made do not come under the category of porn. He further said that the police has filed a four thousand page charge sheet against Raj. But nowhere is it said that obscene videos have been made under section 67A. The charges against Raj Kundra are bailable. Raj Kundra was arrested on July 20 under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 34 (general intent), 292,293 (spreading obscenity) and the IT Act.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police had registered a case in February 2021 for making obscene and obscene videos. After this the police did a thorough investigation into the matter. Then he exposed the racket of making pornographic films. The name of Raj Kundra and his Viaan Industries came out in the investigation. After thorough investigation, the police gathered strong evidence against Raj and then arrested him.
