Mumbai: The Bombay High Court today dismissed the petition filed against the arrest of Raj Kundra. Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, has filed an appeal challenging his arrest and sought his immediate release. However, the court rejected the appeals of Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe and Raj Kundra’s arrest will continue, ANI reported.
On July 27, a Mumbai court sentenced Raj Kundra to 14-day judicial custody. Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe, who appealed in the case to the Bombay High Court, said the arrest process was not handled properly and requested release. But the trial court held that there was no error in the process of detention. And the Sessions Court today ruled that it is okay to surrender in police custody.
Delay in hearing on Raj Kundra’s bail:
The hearing on Raj Kundra’s bail application has gone ahead in Mumbai’s sessions court today. The hearing has been adjourned as the judge was not available today.
