Survey all the state’s lakes and get them cleaned on suppression: High Court’s instructions
Bengaluru: The High Court has directed all the district authorities to conduct a survey of all the lakes and buffer zones in the state. Meanwhile, the Karnataka Lake Conservation Authority has also issued a notice.
A buffer zone of 30 meters has been created around the lake. The government is responsible for the safety of the state’s lakes. The Land Revenue Act requires action of 104 feet. Ponds should be cleaned. The Karnataka High Court has ordered the state government to issue directions in this regard. (Identify the boundary and buffer zone of each lake)
