Rahul Vaidya may be a well-known singer today, but he first got his recognition and fame from the show ‘Indian Idol’. In such a situation, Rahul has given his response to the ongoing criticism regarding Indian Idol. A few days ago, Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar had said, ‘The makers of Indian Idol asked me to praise only the contestants. I did exactly what I was told. But I didn’t enjoy the episode at all. That was the statement. After this the show was constantly being criticized.
Speaking to Times of India, Rahul Vaidya said, “I don’t know about the controversy of Indian Idol 12. I don’t know the truth behind what is happening on the show now. I read somewhere that, as Someone said, “He was only asked to praise the contestants. I think all the singers in this show are good. No one can deny their talent.”
Rahul further said, ‘This show is ultimately made for entertainment. While it is designed to provide a platform for budding singers, entertainment is also a goal. So if a guest examiner is asked to praise or criticize contestants, what good is it? what’s wrong with that? I don’t know why people are debating on this.
Rahul says, ‘I have heard that there is some romantic angle going on in the show, so it is part of a joke. They will not ask anyone to get married with a gun. The show is running from last 6-7 months and is done only as part of entertainment. Soon after the show ends, a new season will begin, the contestants will change and all will start anew. So don’t take all this too seriously.
